The speaker’s words about not pushing policy to benefit specific groups that have “Historically have been advantaged” is very blind to present day. History is in the past and I would guess that even historically males had higher rates of suicide, drug OD etc. back when they “Historically been advantaged”. Now in present day this situation has come to a crisis level and he warns of bringing a bill to the legislature that wants to address the problem just because it is designed to help boys and men. Because they have been “Historically advantaged”.
So the implication is that boys and men need to suffer for awhile for what? To atone for the past. This is not a zero sum game where helping boys hurts girls or visa versa. Especially when it comes to kids.

Let's hope this passes. It's only fair to treat the sexes similarly. Thanks for this clip. Great to see.
Great info and I really hope the attention this bill is getting results in a hearing. I'm staying tuned with fingers crossed!
